The following few changes can be implemented to make the project better.
- For UX purposes, when the event text color is changing, user would usually think about clicking. You can add the link to the event itself, so that the user is redirected there upon clicking.
- There are a lot of codes that are purposeless or unnecessary. Please identify them and remove, while making sure your app is working.
Other than that it is a very good project! There are lots of interesting features implemented.
