Pirates Treasure quest uncompletable

Able to start the quest, Not able to store Karamja Rum in banana crate on Karamja. Unable to loot rum from box in the food store (says you are not on this step) when trying to directly give the rum to Redbeard Frank a chat box pops up and says to talk to Lucas (I assumed Luthas) at the banana plantation(Who says nothing aside from working for 30gp for 10 bananas.) Also able to directly travel to port sarim with Karamja rum in the inventory.
