I tried it on my alt account and it was pretty smooth. But I'm afraid to use it on my main account. So anyone got banned using this?
i've been using this on my main account for about 2 weeks, it's ar 47 and I haven't been banned yet. banning is a possibility but it seems pretty low.

I've posted this unlocker on cn sites too, many have been using since release, no one reported a ban so far
Used it from time to time (can't do that all the time, since I play using Steam Input) on my main account, don't see any problems. Can't remember anyone ever reporting that it got them banned.

It would be technically possible for it to trigger anti-cheat and flag account. But yeah, I've been using it on my main AR 54 acc for over a month, still no ban.

Exactly what I meant, wouldn't surprise me if accounts are already flagged, but they shouldn't have any reason to ban. I wonder though why miHoYo hasn't removed the cap yet, it's awful...

I think the reason why MHY hasn't unlocked it officially is because the game runs little wonky when running above 60fps. It seems like the game's camera and the onscreen elements update at slightly different intervals resulting in jerky picture despite RTSS reporting smooth framepacing. It's most obvious when opening the map and scrolling, it's just never smooth. Probably some Unity engine shenanigans.

The game apparently had a 120fps option in the beta though, that's what I don't understand,

Nope. I still do my Abyss runs with the patch on so I can enjoy lower latency.
I'll use it on my main as well, will immediately reply to this issue if I ever get banned

Using it on my main account ar 53 with couple 5 star weapons and characters,already 23 days,no ban. There are really low chance to get banned if its not detected by kernel anti-cheat. But there is still chance, because your client sending twice more data to server with 120 or more fps,so they can ban manually (I recomend using it with spare apple device,since 120 fps are officially unlocked for ipad pros and new iphones) this way manual ban wont happen. Even if they do ban you,i think you can appeal the ban since unlocking FPS is not that devastating violation like internal software/trainers/ahk scripts etc do. It really hurts my eyes when i play 60fps on 240 monitor and 120hz 2020 ipad pro,still dont understand why MihoYo having that big amount of money cant fix unity bugs and bring us great gameplay expirience....

I'm still using this unlocker daily, I'm now ar 55 and very close to ar 56 with a lot of money spent on the account. I'm still not banned whatsoever.

March 18 Edit: Been using this since a week after I originally posted. No issues and I can comfortably play again after 2.4 without getting motion sickness.

using it since update,no ban atm on 2 accs ar56 and ar 47. What do you mean by iOS version has 120fps support? That feature are exclusively for m1 ipad and iphone 13 pro/max. Somehow ipad air4 also have that even without having a 120hz screen. My ipad pro 2020 which is similar performance as iphone 13 pro max still have no support.
Hi. Just wanted to let you know I'm still using this tool as of version 2.4. Just 36-starred the Abyss while running in 120fps couple of days ago. There hasn't been any issues as far as anti-cheat is concerned. The typical stutter issues persist though.
Theoretically speaking, it should not get you banned.
This Fps Unlocker only changes Fps and Vsync values in the memory which can also be changed in the game settings officially.
So Changing these two values in the memory should not trigger any alarm imo.
Any update on how it went for 2.4? 2.5 is almost out; it feels a bit risky to use again after having no updates since the end of november
I've been using it regularly. No issues whatsoever (apart from the frame-pacing problems but those have nothing to do with this tweak, it's Unity problem).
There's no reason to update the tweak if it keeps working.

Yes, seems to be fine for me, been using it for 16 hours since the new update to test.
Already did the abyss running in 120fps. No problems over here.
Just found this today from a Bilibili video, a small number of people commented under that video they got banned for a week or a month while others said no issues for them. I'm suspecting those got banned for some other reasons we all know, but they'll never tell.

there were only 3 reported bans from my video, and it's almost about half a year ago, iirc
Just ran it for the first time. When I went to do a weekly boss(signora), the loading screen wouldn't load and put me back to the entrance. I reselected the boss and it was then able to load along with being able to fight and defeat it. For first-time users, is getting kicked back to the entrance normal? Kinda worried I triggered something in the system. AR 55
Edit: Did other weekly bosses, and looks like it's working fine now.
Thats the one of the reason why hoyoverse is not releasing 120fps feature to desktop,its currently not optimised perfectly
I'd like to know why you think 120fps on mobile and PC/console has any differences.
Been using this for nearly a year since 1.5 and I am going to be AR 56 in two weeks. I find it hard to believe that any update for the game going to trigger any ban. I'm sure the developer know about this fps unlocker for the longest time and if they really want to ban they would have done so long ago.

Nope, It's been undetected since release. Pretty safe, I can recommend you to use it without any issue if you want to.
I am soooo tempted to try this but I'm worried to risk my account. I feel like at this point, they must KNOW this exists and maybe can detect it. I understand there really havent been any bans but they could still be flagging such accounts, and in the future if they wanted to adopt a zero-tolerance policy, they could do a massban of all such flagged accounts retroactively, truthfully though, if the worst thats ever happened to someone is getting a week or even month ban, thats waaayy better than losing the account altogether and might make it worth the risk :) (unless you spent money on Welkin or something and cant claim your Primos :P)
They ain't gonna ban you forever. If they ever banner you and this is a big "if", it's gonna be a 3week ban. I have a friend of mine who used literal cheats for flying, unlimited arrows, and all kind of shit he got banned after 3 days for 2week. Don't fear soo much in your life. You get to live once and the world is much bigger than this genshin impact game. Just live to the fullest, do whatever you want to.

First ban is never permanent, your friend must have been banned before for cheating or something else. that's why this time he got perma ban. This FPS Unlocker been safe from 1.6 and now it's 2.8(almost) and the big fact is that 120FPS is not illegal iPhone already have that feature. So from a technical point of view we're not doing anything illegal, Using scripts and keybinds is something illegal. Unlocking FPS is not illegal.
I know someone is going to find this page again and ask the same question. No one been ban as far as I know for using this and I am now AR 57 playing since patch 1.5.

Currently ar 57 and paid for some weapons & constellations, since 2.2. Set fps limit to 120 as it was allowed in iOS. Not banned. I risked this because 60 is unreasonable.

No, just close the unlocker from tray icon and it will stop working. To play safely on your main acc just reopen the game without activating the unlocker. No reboot needed.

The FPS unlocker will be active if you opened the game through the unlocker, if you open the game through the normal Genshin Impact Game\GenshinImpact.exe executable there will be no FPS unlock.

Not sure if it's Necessary but I'd like to pitch in that I've been using this for about a week or two now on an about to be ar58 account and I haven't received a ban or anything yet.
I'd also like to note that I've really only noticed 2 things about it so far.
- Doing the Captcha on the login produces an error 50/50 of the time but I can still login just fine
- Aloy's cryo balls that sits on the ground from her E jiggle up an down
Also Kazuha's Hold E sometimes feels like it goes higher than normal.. but I think that's just me
Overall Genshin feels infinitely better to play now with 60+ fps so thank you creator <3
Edit : btw I tried this months ago on an old reroll alt I made when the game came out and said account still isn't banned which is mainly what made me go ahead and try the unlocker on my main. and still both are not banned

Gotta say though, that using any 3rd party programs to do anything (reshade, hacks, writing memory, etc.) violates Hoyoverse's ToS and I can firmly say that violating any ToS on any product will result in a ban. It may be perma or 30 days I don't know but one thing is certain if Hoyoverse adopts a strict policy about 3rd party programs then most probably we can see many accounts banned from the game in the future.
Also when you mention that "not many ppl use FPS unlocker" well that's mostly false mate, most of the people who use the FPS unlocker either have a high refresh rate monitor or want a smoother experience(less frame times).
I really want to hoyoverse act up and bring higher FPS limits to the game, it is pretty easy considering when we achieve more fps by this program neither the game-engine nor game physics won't act like crazy. (For example a known issue with Skyrim's engine).

I doubt you will get banned - I've been using this for way over a year at AR 58 with no ban and used it every single day (I don't use it on days that a new patch comes out though). Chances of you getting banned are very very small. You will be fine.

Actually, the main reason that I'm worrying is this account is a whale account. Like 3-4k+$ worth. It won't be pleasant to lose this account.

Like said before, just keep watch on this issue and see if anyone mentions getting banned. I'm 99% sure you won't though. There's a risk of getting banned with all third-party programs anyways.. 🤔🤔

Now, worst case scenario is if a ban wave hits you might get banned for a short amount of time - I doubt it would be permanent. Actually, the main reason that I'm worrying is this account is a whale account. Like 3-4k+$ worth. It won't be pleasant to lose this account. In other hand, ToF (new game) brings me more entertainment than Genshin rn, so.. Just want to keep my acc alive, if ToF fails on something.

I doubt you will get banned - I've been using this for way over a year at AR 58 with no ban and used it every single day (I don't use it on days that a new patch comes out though). Chances of you getting banned are very very small. You will be fine.
Good to hear, but there is the another problem. One of my "ex-friends" reported to CS that I used this program. I'm sure it will increase the chance idk. What do you think about it?

I guess they won't start bashing ppl with banhammer rn bc of ToF existence and its hype. It would be a big mistake for Hoyo to do so.
Many ppl use it and all these banned players will go play ToF if they got banned. Hoyo will be in potential lose of players and, main criteria for them, lose of money bc of banning ppl for QoL mod.
If ToF fails, then they will start doing something about it. But anyway, the risk still exists.

I really would love to play the game above 60FPS (i9 9900k w/RTX 3080) but I am just too afraid. The fact that it isn’t 100% confirmed that you can’t actually get banned has me not wanting to actually run the FPS unlocker. 😭 even though everyone says they haven’t gotten banned, it’s like doing something you know could get you in trouble, but you’re also not sure. We are all 100% not sure. The little tiny chance it what keeps me from doing it.
Nobodies been banned yet and even if they one day banwave everyone using this tool it'll only be the first offence 2 week ban, which obviously there's the issue of missing a banner or an event. But overall I really wouldn't worry about it at this point.

That is so true... I lost all interest in the game because the developers went to snort cocaine from a hooker's ass instead of working on the obvious problems in the game that need fixing. New characters, new locations, new OST, it's all boring AF. I'm not complaining, it's a free game and it already gave me more than enough fun, but at this point it is made not for me, so i left in august.
This programm hepled me to stay for 9 months longer, so don't be afraid using it, sooner or later you'll burn out anyway.
