DiscordAPIError: Missing Permissions

Opened this issue · 4 comments

Hi,

I have edited the config file to what I need it to be, but I am getting a DiscordAPIError. I have given the bot the correct permissions and seems like this is an issue with the RequestHandler.js file that is made when creating a project with slappey. This is a screenshot of the error. What am I doing wrong here?

If you read the error it already says what's wrong "Missing Permissions" which means your bot doesn't have the correct permissions

I am pretty new to this myself. But as @RwbyChan said, your bot is clearly missing the right permissions to edit the role you want to change the color for. I think in general the bot needs the „Manage Roles“ permission and there must not be a different rule that denies an update of the role that is accessed.

Didn't have to be rude bud. It was an issue with my config. I accidently called the wrong role. My issue is solved now but you didn't have to be rude.

I'm not trying to be rude..., I'm just telling explaining to you what the error means as well as helping you for in the future, cause often by trying to go through the error you might find out what the issue is, not always, but still, and truly if it clearly says on the first line what the issue is, and even then I explained to you what it meant so idk why you're thinking I'm being rude... If you think it's rude that I told you to read what the error says, then goodluck in life..
