Does this work with 0088? Match on Host device?

Does anyone know? I was sent here from this thread:\ uunicorn/python-validity#34
However there does seem to be any discussion of the 0088, despite it being, I guess, somewhat similar to the 2 devices this appears to support.
What can I do to help get it working?

Since this issue is pretty old and it seems nothing is happening, my hopes are low. But if I can help in any way, let me know.
