Pixel 8 square android recent apps button stops showing open apps

Describe the bug

Android 14 on Pixel 8 with this launcher works OK for sometime then the bottom right 'square' recent open apps button stops showing list of already opened apps, that you could normally swipe through. Needs phone restart to fix. Happens multiple times.

Steps to reproduce

Open launcher. Square android button works fine. At some point of time the square button can no longer open list of already opened apps.

Does the issue also occur with other 3rd-party launchers?

Same happens on pixel 6a running android 14. Restarting Niagara doesn't work, only a phone reboot fixes this behaviour. I think this bug started for me about the same time as op.

I am experiencing the same issue on Pixel 7 Pro, running Android 14, and like above posters reported, a reboot is the only workaround.
