An earlier issue covered the request for an ability to identify the network and endpoint with LLDP. A related issue that has been brought up is the request for collapsing the schema for endpoint and a switch, and the endpoint link and a network link.

Subha's note: Please also consider the precedence established by IS-04 where a node or a device has no network elements in it.
