Potential Use Case: What are the Benefits to Business?

This could potentially draw from some of our other use cases, but I'm thinking something in the form of a sales pitch. If you're a business owner or development shop, why does investing in OSS make sense for you?

(this might seem obvious to some of us, but we'll shoot for empathy and not to seem patronizing about it.)
