Problem making animated painting

After following the steps to make a resource pack with an animated painting in side it, after trying to load it into a mod pack it crashed when placing a painting, before the painting select gui even opened, and afterwards every time loading into the world with the painting placed.

After using a vanilla instance to try to load the painting the game also crashed, although it seems optifine mitigates the crash by breaking all painting textures but not instantly crashing when painting are placed.

i also have not been able to find anything wrong with the resource pack itself but im not at all an expert in that field.
