background on emacs 27.2

Hi, I kinda like the background but it seems that with Emacs 27.2, its no longer a block like on the readme file but it ends where every line ends.
I couldn't find anything on google to make it work.

Hey,

The background color is from a dependency, so I can't override its behavior by default. This section of the readme may be able to help you, though.
