Opening the app caused iOS to present Apple Pay issue. A reboot reset that. I could use/scan NFC as normal in Shortcut before launching Aemulo, once it's launched iOS will throw "Apple Pay Issue" error entry in Settings.app (General -> About -> Apple Pay). It's not present before Aemulo launch. Aemulo itself still able to read NFC tag, but now in Shortcuts, there's no longer option to select NFC as automation.

In my case I had the same issue when using the tweak version.
With the Trollstore version closing the app was enough for it to work from Lockscreen
