that it should be ūsque.

Thanks! In this case, "usque" was deliberate on my part, based on what Buck argued: see my reply in the reddit thread. I'm interested to see what comes out of it; I'm unsure myself on this matter.
In general, I would be very happy to get dubious vowel lengths pointed out to me.
