MultiSelect options spanning multiple columns

In case of MultiSelect,
Is there a way to make the options presented to the users span multiple columns
For example:

[ ] opt-01	[ ] opt-11	[ ] opt-21
[ ] opt-02	[ ] opt-12	[ ] opt-22
[ ] opt-03	[ ] opt-13	[ ] opt-23

this will be very handy when you have multiple options and you want to use your screen real-estate effectively.
