About this project:

This project was made as a school project to pactice setting up a backend with ASP.NET Core. The task was to follow this tutorial on Pluralsight: https://www.pluralsight.com/courses/asp-dotnet-core-api-building-first (requires an account to see), then implemenet authorization and user roles with Identity and lasty to publish everything on Azure.

Technologies used:

  • C#/ ASP.NET Core for backend.

How to use this service

  1. Download Postman: https://www.getpostman.com/
  2. Download test script for Postman: https://www.getpostman.com/collections/dafa292d0f7b9c2e39a3
  3. Add http://cityinfoapi20170814103202.azurewebsites.net/ as host. (Please note that you will recieve a "404 - Not found" error if you try to access the address via the web browser. This is working as intended since no Frontend was needed for this assignment).
  4. Try the different built in commands (to access all functions you first have to login with the "Admin" account).
