Ligatures rendering

Can you control better ligatures and their rendering? From my personal experience with Fira Code iCursive S12 where the // and http://example.com render very bad with alignment completely off especially on lines with lots of spaces on the left (indented code). VS Code also has its own problems/bugs with ligatures and ability to turn on/off accurately
In your screenshot, the issue is visible in all comment lines and is, naturally, different and worst on the most indented one:
