Would it be possible to add support for R?

uhm actually the docs provide examples for R (https://github.com/AndrewRadev/splitjoin.vim/blob/master/doc/splitjoin.txt#L920), but R is not listed among the supported languages in README.

Good catch, thanks, I've missed updating the README. If you're looking for any particular kind of split/join that is useful for R, let me know, I think it's fairly basic right now.
