color for another teammate getting an item (enhancement)

Many people while doing COX will turn off their chat to see the light color, but if doing it in teams people often like to wait to check what their teammate gets. Though you have no way of stopping yourself from opening the chat once seeing you don't have one since you don't know they got one. Is there a way you could implement a color change option for if somebody else on your team received an item? If you can't pull the data from the game directly, could you use the chatbox message to read in the info? Thanks for the plugin either way :)
