So the energy meter is missing.
A startup message mentioned some mod or something but I'm stupid and clicked right through it (it doesn't appear anymore).
What was it that I was supposed to do to make the energy meter work?

Found solution - set "Energy Drone = true" in BepInEx/config/community.inscryption.patch.cfg
Energy drone has it's regular look - not attached to scales (downgrading API doesn't help but that's not a big deal)
