Prize Bounty
$750 in ETH
Challenge Description
Being able to cite original and reliable resources is more important than ever in the age of fake news. This challenge is to build the most interesting and original knowledge sharing and editing platform built on Arweave’s permanent ledger.
Themes to experiment with:
- Incentivisation of collaboration through mico-tips, rather than up-votes.
- Tracing of ideas through the permaweb’s immutable transaction graphs.
- ‘Forking’ of blog posts/other media, linking back to the original content in a way reminescent of GitHub.
Submission Requirements
You should aim for a minimal viable product that an end-user could reasonably start to adopt.
Submission Deadline
July 10th, unless otherwise specified
Judging Criteria
Best submission that an end-user could reasonably start to use
Winner Announcement Date
July 12th, unless otherwise specified

This looks like an interesting idea and I'd love to work on it. Do you have an example of a centralized app that does this or something similar?

Work has been started.
These users each claimed they can complete the work by 2 years, 7 months ago.
Please review their action plans below:
1) aahutsal has started work.
Going to build knowledge sharing in the scrope of Beyond Hackathon
2) janus has started work.
I would be working in a team, and would be updating via github
3) niinpatel has started work.
My idea is to build an "Expert Advice" app inspired by Quora. People can post questions on a topic, users who know about the topic can provide their credentials and answer the question.
4) calchulus has started work.
I'll implement a sort of "longest chain" or "most propogation" to encourage good news to be shared (like a gossip protocol).
5) allberg has started work.
Showcase how expandable UX ( + buttons showing new inline-content and hover tooltips and expandable titles) can communicate a complex message to a variety of readers (common language / academic language) and how claims made elsewhere on web can be easily referred to through modern UX.

I have made the submission but I was unable to deploy it because of an error: EISDIR: illegal operation on a directory, read

Hello! Just submitted my submission to Github. Also ran into issues between having it on Arweave vs. just hosted on Google Pages. The javascript doesn't seem to work properly for form submission.
Arweave URL here: https://arweave.net/SXaeOyhlqkAPz8ydfwhzU65UA6liZqZhQp2vkQggr_0
Github Pages here: https://github.com/calchulus/arweave-knowledger
I have made a submission on the Gitcoin page

Github Repo: https://github.com/srisankethu/ar-openknowledge
Last minute submission from @agutsal @janus: https://github.com/agutsal/arweave-open-knowledge/tree/janus_knowledge
Check exactly that branch yarn && yarn start
. Would merge to master
and deploy to Arweave once you review.
Gitcoin [Submit] does not work for me for some reason (perhaps previous transaction stuck on metamask):

I've made a PR for fixing that bug here: ArweaveTeam/arweave-deploy#5
and I was then able to deploy it, I've added the link in README of my repo.
