Octo: which way do you connect the ribbon cables?

Is there a correct way to connect the ribbon cables of an octo? Like, to not break like I saw on some videos about connecting synth modules.

I just figured out there's actually only one way to connect them, due to the plastic piece on the back of the connector, lol. Nevermind.
