Drop down selection from view is not showing in the controller

I have this code added in the search.cshtml file
the selected value from drop down is not getting in the the controller parameter
HomeController
OS and Version?
Windows 7, 8 or 10. Linux (which distribution). macOS (Yosemite? El Capitan? Sierra?)
Versions
Windows 10

Was able to figure it out.
