Log collection: Memory limit

Hello,
I am testing log collection. After reboot, I look through the logs if it is complete, but I find at times that log collection is not complete due to the memory limit being exceeded. This leads to my question, is there a reason for the memory limit being 30M apart from making sure log collection does not take a lot of memory? Furthermore, does this mean that the log collection will not happen after the first failure since I assume the logs will continue to grow in size?
Using:
waagent version - 2.9.1.1
Ubuntu version - 18.04 and 20.04

No, the collector will execute periodically
