I installed it but when I try to open it it just says it can't connect to the internet, even though I am.
"NASA Pic of the Day requires an internet connection to retrieve images. Please check your internet connection and try again."
I am connected to the internet and had no problems on install, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?
If you replace the excutable with this one it will work fine again

@rowanalethea what platform are you attempting to install it on?
I have the same problem as the OP- I've just installed NPOD on Windows 11 (via NPODSetup.msi). Installation appeared to work, but no PicOfTheDay or C:\Users\your_username\Pictures\NASA folder got set up. I then ran NPOD from C:\Program Files (x86)\NPOD (just by double clicking it), and get the exact same error message.
(I'm slightly cautious about trying jvzoggel's fix without knowing what problem it's fixing)
I get unknown publisher in windows when trying to install.
