I don't want accidentally resetting all preference

Solution:
Pls kindly add option to block resetting app preference

in reset setting there is a option to reset app preference
(i.e default apps, disabled or enabled app, app permission or app ops etc²)

but preventing storage from being cleared is good idea as well 😅

There isn't any DevicePolicyManager API to block Reset app preferences.

btw I think nobody will clear app preferences accidently
