Being a responsive website is so much more than having flexible and screen size specific layouts. However, the 'responsive' part of Blocss is just that. Should it not be renamed? If so, to what?

Well, yes, “Reponsive” is a broad concept. But for now all the responsive functionalities(mostly media queries) in blocss are behind that flag. When something responsive is added to the core, it will be placed behind that flag also.
