Error when chaginf the password

I can access the dashboard and change every setting correctly, except the password.
It allows me to enter the new password but when I submit the changes I get the following error message:
Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Please make sure you have set the Write permissions on App_Data and Custom folders.
