Entry/management of CCLI numbers (especially for bilingual songs)

Opened this issue · 2 comments

In the current version even for bilingual songs only one field is provided for entering the CCLI number. This means that the comfortable reporting to Songselect is not possible when the second language is displayed as the leading language. It may also be necessary to check which CCLI no. is entered.

An idea might be to combine the settings under "Language" and "#CCLI" in one section, so that the CCLI number can be assigned to the language. Together with the language selection (another issue) this would make it possible to report the number of the currently selected or leading language in CCLI reporting (ideally via a dialog, in which the two languages can be displayed and the preselection changed for multilingual songs).

This has been enabled by #35 . The only open question would be: What should happen if a song and its translation are shown and both have a CCLI number. Currently only the CCLI number of the primary language (text or translation, depending on the setting) is used. Maybe it would be better to use both?

(Aside: This is actually not really relevant for my church any more, as we use auto-reporting through ChurchTools now.)

In my opinion, really rarely both languages are sung. Therefore, I would consider it useful if the CCLI number shown on the left in the song structure or at the top of the display is used for the CCLI feedback.

(In fact, this is no longer really relevant for us either, as we also use CCLI auto-reporting).
