Latest Raspberry Pi OS update breaks vdesktop auto-login

With the latest update, the default username and password have been changed, because of the new user setup tool.
With the latest img (2022-04-04), vdesktop boots, but fails on login. I'm not sure why you have to login (cause you're supposed to create your user and password), but you do for some reason...
Edit: I see RPiOS Bullseye isn't supported, but if it ever works, this will be a problem..

Oh wait, it probably asks to login because mutter doesn't work with Xephyr (Am I spelling it right?), and therefore can't open the user config dialog...
