Cannot edit slug on new production with changed name

When trying to change the slug of a production that has been created with an altered name, the slug change field does not work.

Observing The issue

Let a Production with changed name post creations is:

Note the changed name is saved in the database

1. On click of change-slug field
   

2. With no change, after clicking 'Done'
   

3. Then on edit:
   

4. There is no change.

5. After Page refresh, it reverts back to the old slug.

When trying to edit it

1. Make an Edit
   

2. On 'Done' There is no change
