AAR creates the archive in the mailbox, not in local folder

Opened this issue · 3 comments

My AAR is adjusted to create the archive within the local folders, but creates the archive in the mailbox itself, see attachment.

AAR does not have own settings for the archive folder. It uses Thunderbird functions to archive mail.
What does happen if you right click a single email and choose (the thunderbird) context menu entry to archive an email. Is it archived to the same place as when AAR is archiving it?

Oh sorry, I tried to attach a screenshot (.jpg) to illustrate what happened, but it did not work. The snapshot should show that the archive was created in the mailbox, and not in a local folder as in the TB settings for archives described.

When trying to archive a message manually, it disappears in the mailbox and cannot be found in the local archive where it should be. If searching the message with the search-function, TB will find and show it and tell me the folder, but if I open that folder, the message is not there.

Hi
i have the same problem : in IMAP mode, TB create Archive folder only on the server (maybe it is a recent update , i'm on 102.10.1 32bits) and in the parameters settings there no choice to set a local folder.
so AAR create nice structured archives, but the server load is still the same
and i didn't find any way to move the entire "2008/folders/subfolders" to local or else
