[BUG] Loading indicators impede new course addition

Describe the bug
When creating a new course, the drop down selector constantly reloads which makes it difficult to select a pre-existing course.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to course addition page
2. Add a new course
3. When adding another course, the course drop down selector loads for a bit

Expected behavior
The course selector should be updated silently without a loading indicator.
