Recommendations for a new customer

As a new customer with no purchase or browsing history
I need to receive relevant product recommendations
So that I can quickly find products that align with my preferences and have a personalized experience

Details and Assumptions:

1. The recommendations service relies on historical purchase data and browsing behavior to generate personalized suggestions.
2. With little to no data available for new consumers, it is difficult to make relevant and individualized recommendations.

Acceptance Criteria:

Given a new customer with no purchase or browsing history.
When the new customer visits the e-commerce website for the first time.
Then the system should present recommendations based on popular or trending items which should also be inclusive of range of product categories.

Given a new customer with no purchase or browsing history.
When begin to start browsing products.
Then the recommendations service should gradually refine suggestions and provide recommendations based on the browsing pattern
