I am trying to test calamari with a test image and my calamari version is 1.0.6 here is my command

calamari-predict --checkpoint C:\Users\navya\Downloads\calamari_models-2.0\antiqua_historical\2.ckpt --files C:\Users\navya\OneDrive\Desktop\text.png

It is not working and showing error Downgrading of models is not supported (5 to 2). Please upgrade your Calamari instance (currently installed: 1.0.6). Please help

It seems like you are trying to use an old version of calamari with models made for calamari >2.0, which is not supported. Either try older models (e.g. https://github.com/Calamari-OCR/calamari_models/releases/tag/1.1) or use a more recent version of calamari.

I ran this command pip install --upgrade calamari-ocr but it still not upgrading

Maybe some dependency or the python version is blocking the update?

Try to check python3 -m pip --version (this gives pip and Python version here). And maybe python3 -m pip install -U pip too, and then try to upgrade calamari-ocr again - wouldn't be the first time an outdated pip caused problems.
