spice, and asteroid-commet not displaying

Describe the bug
using SPICE orbits asteroids and comets 3d meshes are NOT displaying
the orbit for Asteroids are showing but the orbits for comets are NOT
Now in "celestia browser" the name of the comet or asteroid are showing up
but the 3d mesh IS NOT

To Reproduce
build the current github code

i am running OpenSUSE tumbleweed on a "System 76 laptop "
13 gen i9 cpu waith a adlerlake GPU the nividia and adleralke is too new too use the nividia gpu

Expected behavior
display the 3d mesh of the asteroid and comet

blank, no mesh displaied

@JohnVV do you have any errors in Celestia console? Could you provide test data?

there is no error in the text console
it looks like the meshs load but for some reason not displayed

Both object are shown for me. Thought Nishimura has rendering artifacts.

cmodfix abnormally terminates with Nishimura

The same for Dinkinesh

It was unrelated issue.

Regarding Nishimura's artifacts - they are caused by presence of alpha channel in the base texture. Celestia in such cases enables blending. I recommend removing it, for example converting to jpeg.
