Add basic monitoring and alerting to fuzzy and archie

Closed this issue · 5 comments

Issue summary

Currently, fuzzie and archie have no alerting and monitoring. It'd be great to know if these machines are knocked out or close to being out of disk space.

We can use New Relic for this.

@LesnyRumcajs, do you think we should have a script to install NR and add it to the CI, so for whatever reason it gets uninstalled or unavailable the CI can just be triggered , or one time manual installation is okay ?

Answered on Slack, a script is fine for now.

@samuelarogbonlo The agents should not have been installed with root privileges. Running the NR agent as root is unjustified unless I miss something.

@LesnyRumcajs done, Should we also add a simple script to this repository for setting up New Relic manually, in case it becomes unavailable for whatever reasons?

Sure, I don't see why not.
