Evaluate header stickiness

Some mobile issues seem to stem from the header being sticky. Also, it might feel a bit disruptive when reading and a large portion of the viewport is covered by the header. Let's evaluate by performing a competitive analysis on websites in our niche (and other websites we think have great UX) and decide if we keep stickiness as-is or remove or... make it sticky on scroll maybe?

Sticky headers are not that useful nowadays. Let's unstick it and maybe add a scroll to top button (competitive analysis for that, too).

Scroll to top is not as prevalent as it used to be. So, overall no sticky header and no scroll to top. Simplicity is key.
