DeskSMS email only takes account of the first phone number

When I merge DeskSMS contacts I get two desksms email addresses created, one for appspotmail and one for appspotchat.
Unfortunately only the first number in a contacts list of numbers is used (not the first mobile number). This means DeskSMS often has the wrong number.
Also many of my contacts have multiple mobile numbers as they travel and have different numbers for different countries.
It would be great if a single email address could be used to avoid cluttering up the contact listing.
With regard to the multiple numbers I have the following suggestions (in order of desirability):
- Support all mobile numbers a contact has.
- Where there is more then one number make a mechanism to allow some way of choosing which number is to be the one DeskSMS uses
- Only pick the first mobile number, not the first number. If no mobile number exists use the first number.
