Frontend: Project page improvements

Alex did some good work on the projects page, and there are just a couple more things I want to consider:
1. Page styling (looks a bit big right now, may need to adjust for responsiveness)
2. Project authors being added if they're not logged in
3. Code cleanup if possible (a lot of stuff is done on client side which is fine, but I also want to make sure that works with edge cases and if we could move any to backend)

Final decision for now: Users will have to register on the site before being added to a project.
