On a side note, why can't I assign issues in this repo o.O? I was going to assign this to myself to investigate.
Noticed this yesterday. Our tweet widget is based on the twitter v1 API which was taken down a week or two ago. So we need to update.
I don't know why you can't assign issues, will check the settings.
Made a sysadmin team that you and I are in and assigned that team to this repo. You are now assigned this issue.
Have removed jquery.tweet.js altogether as the new twitter API does not allow for non-twitter unauthenticated widgets. Bit annoying. We can look into using a twitter one (there are alternatives involving server-side stuff with an API key or making jquery.tweet.js or our own solution look like a twitter widget, but just can't be bothered pandering to them at the moment).
Dropping twitter from main page entirely.
