images and summary not passing to project page

images and summary for projects are not always appearing on the project page

example?

http://cottagelabs.com/projects/

mobile futures no image or summary
advantages of apis no image

images will only get picked up if they are full URLs starting with http. this could be changed, but would make for a far more intensive matching process.

mobile futures has no summary. there is no way yet to edit the excerpt of pages. it is being added to the page settings option soon.

also updates to fix those links will not get picked up by the index until later. the index is not tracking changes via the collaborative pads for now, until I am sure it is stable enough.

Perhaps we can just revert to a "featured image" setting, like in wordpress; this will give us finer control over these summary sections

could do, although it is no easier than the current option from the technical perspective. i would prefer we auto-set the image as we do now, but could add the option to manually edit it in the page settings

I can't make this work as advertised. I've updated the image src urls to be full http://cottagelabs.com urls, and they are still not appearing on the summary view. Any ideas?

yes - they won't get picked up yet, as explained above the index is not triggered to track updates via the collaborative pads yet, as I was keeping it separate in case the collaborative edit went tits up.

but it looks to be working fairly well, so will enable index updates soon.

I want to re-iterate the need for a "featured image". At the moment, the first image in the OR2012 page is a PDF download link, so that's the image that it is presented with on the /news page. There isn't another image that would make sense further up the page, so we need a fix for that.

how about the option i described earlier, where we auto-populate based on first image, but allow a manual override?

yup, totally fine
