We recently launched crisiscleanup.org.au, and the following changes need to be made to this portal, ideally without forking the code. Whenever possible, these settings should be added to portal_portals.attr

Add to portal_portals.attr

  • Top-left icon should be AU
  • Default language is 3 (en-au). This is in attr, but not implemented.
  • Add en-au as a supported language, and a translate everything to en-au on both US and AU Production.
  • The translation tool should translate from en-au instead of en-us to other languages.
  • Change the link to the app download, to CCU AU instead of US app
  • Ensure that emails are written in en-au. Basically, we need folders for all emails for multiple languages.
  • Emails need to send from help@crisiscleanup.org.au
  • Help link should be defined in portal_portal.attr, since we will need to create a new AU Zendesk
  • Default map portal should be set in portal_portal.attr. Default map should be Australia.
  • Implement attr.measurement_system (metric) in the mapping tool (i.e. km vs. mi)
  • Boolean: use_svi_slider

Actions

  • Need to open up a new Zendesk for AU
  • Update TOS and Privacy
  • Set new users default language to portal default.
  • Expose ccu_web_url for use in emails. Give Aaron an example of how to use it.
  • Expose other portal variables for use in emails. Tell Aaron what they are.
  • Find and upload a bunch of AU locations
  • Create appropriate AU location Types.
  • Find and install svi equivalent for AU
  • Why is County empty? Should be council. Google Maps

Language Support

  • We need to do a one-way sync from US Prod to AU Prod. New US localizations need to be copied to AU, then translated to all supported languages.
  • After syncing, CCU AU will automatically need to translate it into Australian English and all of the other supported languages.
  • CCU AU needs to add the following languages to support:
    • en-AU (Astralian English)
    • zh-TW (Mandarin/Taiwan)
    • vi (Vietnamese)
    • zh-mo (Cantonese)
    • pa (Punjabi)
    • el (Greek)
    • it (Italian)
    • ti (Tagalog)
    • hi-in (Hindi)

Bugs

  • Navigation isn't working
  • First login gives you the spinner of death on www
  • Translations don't work on www. CORS.
  • Create a new portal in portal_portals
