Background removal isn't working correctly

Background removal is removing chunks of neumes.
Images show a separated layer made with background removal, and a separated layer made without background removal

@JoyfulGen do you have any other demonstration images? I'll add a couple of the more severe ones too just so we have a better demonstration of the problem.
Significantly this is important because of the later interactive and non-interactive classifier stages, where it struggles quite a bit with these incomplete neumes.
