Change default config authtype to Session?

Basic auth in most implementations is much slower than Session auth, yet a number of folks use it unknowingly given it's the default in the template config. Could it be changed to Session auth?

That's been on the back of my mind too; I think we left it as "Basic" since it was typically supported more readily (especially with some mockup tools), but I don't mind pushing the burden to those users for specifying "Basic" directly.
