This background wallpaper is 2560x1600 pixels so It should fill the gap of black extending the screen but it isn't.

I was thinking of new algorithm to convert the background to new aspect ratio. The current workaround is to resize the background to 16:9 aspect ratio.

I'll keep this open for a while.
