As discussed in #77, using LinearResistance are clearly not the best choice here, maybe TabulatedRatingCurves is. UserInput could be (for every structure):
- zero_discharge_level (we can take from the longview above)
- max_discharge_level (we can estimate from rws waterinfo)
- max_discharge; in case of the meuse 3500 m3/s
From that we can autocompute a rating-curve
@gijsber, reading your comment: #77 (comment). We may extend your user-input described above to 3 control points (two for low flow, one for max_discharge). Keeping it at one node we can parameterize with relatively limited user-input.
I leave it up to @visr to judge what is numerically wise, but 2 nodes (Outlet + TabulatedRatingCurve), one (Outlet) with control, doesn't sound appealing to me.
Again, from a WRM point of view Meuse flow_rate
is of interest. I still think storage
isn't.
Tabulated rating curve probably can do the job as well where H hardly rises with rising Q untill we reach the point where the weirs are down
