PPtxt comments/issues

  1. As far as I can tell, it does not check for longest and shortest lines.
  2. Sort by Line & Col does not seem to work, not that I particularly want it.
  3. Would like "Copy errors" option as in GG1, or save to file.

Thanks for the report - there was some compromise in implementing PPtxt in GG2, wanting to be close to the behavior of the external pptext tool(s!) and adapting to the GG2 style.

It's possible that a later iteration might list line/col numbers (which generally the ppwb version doesn't), in which case sort by line/col should work automagically. It would also make it easy to click an error to jump to the correct location in the text file, like the other tools generally do.

  1. You can copy errors from any of the checker dialogs, by typing Ctrl-A when focus is on the errors, which will select them all, then Ctrl-C to copy. However, I agree that at a minimum the tooltip should tell you about that, and quite possibly, it would be an improvement to just add a Copy Errors button to the top of all checker dialogs.
