Tidal High Res flac

Closed this issue · 6 comments

Hi, now that Tidal switched to high res flac files, is there an update planned to be able to get them instead or the MAQ versions?

Already implemented see issue #37 for instructions, it likely wont be removed as a feature since some people may actually want the MQA file. Please note that Tidal frontends that support MQA will label them as MAX even tho they are not in fact MAX. Please use the webui to check if a file really is max before opening an issue.

Hi, when I try to use this (DEV Branch), I end up with m4a files. Also there is an error "FFmpeg is not installed or working! Using fallback, may have errors". The thing is FFmpeg is installed. Is there some sort of configuration I am overlooking? What command should I have used to get the dev branch? (git clone -b develop --recurse-submodules https://github.com/Dniel97/orpheusdl-tidal.git modules/tidal)? I am sure it is user error :)...

Thanks

Is ffmpeg callable from cmd/the shell you are using? You are on windows i assume, correct? More info about ur environment would help. Also since this is technically a different issue please dont reopen closed issues and rather open a new one.
