The chat tab works unreliably

Sometimes sends the messages. Sometimes it doesn't without any feedback. Sometimes says authenticate first, but I have already authenticated.

This is the same issue for TF2 as well. Ever since valve changed a2s.

Is it only about sending messages or about parsing the log for chat messages as well?

it can send messages but does not receive them. I have logging on and it connects just fine. what ports does this program require besides the one we define for the port logging?

then there is no activity in the log on a full server

yeah, same thing
not sure why the log is not coming back ever
only replies to commands

But log is never coming back

If I fire up HLSW now, it works perfectly fine there (but HLSW stopps updating the server info because of the A2S challenge)

But HLSW is using UDP 7130 for the logging, which I cant even enter into Source Admin Tool

This should not be related to A2S at all, the server is directly sending it to me
Not sure why Source Admin Tool is not picking it up

It never worked for me ever since I switched to this after HLSW stopped working for one game (Empires) where Steamworks SDK was updated and it started doing A2S challenges.

This still seems to be an issue unfortunately. What are the steps that are being taken for it to work?

It might be a problem with the upnp library. Make sure your router has UPnP enabled, but it seems it is if hlsw is working. It's used to temporarily open a port so the Gameserver can connect to your computer.

I don't have time to debug this, so please help.

it was that! my unifi router disables upnp by default. thanks!

Mine has it enabled, but not working. (while HLSW works)

I will have to try manual port forward

Hey. I also found you need to add a rule to the firewall in windows for inbound connects on that port.
