STG stops working after every FF upgrade, works after another FF restart

Describe the bug
Every time I upgrade FF to a new version (and restart it), it takes ages (more than 2 min) to start, and the STG menu doesn't work (shows spinning arrows), although at least my current tab group seems to be displayed correctly. A second FF restart fixes it. Not game-breaking, but annoying.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Upgrade FF
  2. Wait a long time to start
  3. Click on STG button (I have it on tab bar)
  4. See empty menu
  5. Restart FF
  6. Starts swiftly
  7. STG now works!

Expected behavior
I'd expect the first restart to be almost as fast as the second, and STG to work.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS and version: Kubuntu 22.04
  • Firefox version: 128.0 (been happening for quite a few versions already)
  • Simple Tab Groups version: v5.2

Additional context
It might be caused by something else, but I think the fact that STG doesn't work after the first restart is suspicious. I have auto-backup enabled, which creates a new directory for each FF version. Some 40 windows in 4 groups, nothing extreme, I guess.
