M117 with no message does not dismiss message screen

My Panel due is on a Voron 2.4 running klipper.
A single M117 command does not dismiss any currently displayed message
Klipper documentation indicates that this is how to dismiss any on-screen message

Paneldue firmware version 1.24

Process

Please add a step by step description on how to reproduce the bug.
Issue an M117 with a text message
Issue an M117 without a text message

Experienced Result

Please describe experienced result.
The M117 message box remains displayed on the Paneldue

Expected Result

The message box currently displayed on the Paneldue should disappear

Hey @old-relic, sorry for letting you wait for so long. Unfortunately there are no updates planned for paneldue 1.24. Please update to paneldue 3.4.1 and re-test if your problem persists. Although I am not sure paneldue 3.4.1 is compatible with klipper.

Please re-open this issue if your problem is still in paneldue 3.4.1.
